Everything you need to know to install and power your Chillybox—simple, seamless, and stress-free.
THE SETUP
Preparation is key
This isn't difficult, but it is important. There are three bases to cover here.
- Setup location: Confirm that the space meets the minimum clearance requirements (below) and is located in an air-conditioned room.
- Electrical specs: The Chillybox requires a dedicated 20-amp circuit with a NEMA 5-20R outlet (see plug here). Avoid GFCI outlets, as they can interrupt power flow.
- Site survey: Complete the site survey provided after purchase. This helps us assess access points, delivery paths, and placement logistics so your delivery and setup are fast and hassle-free.

Power & Setup
Electrical requirements to operate Chillybox
Chillybox is designed to be as simple and seamless as possible. It operates on standard single-phase power and requires a dedicated 20-amp circuit with a NEMA 5-20R outlet (see plug here) — just like many household appliances.. Power consumption is minimal, comparable to a hairdryer or electric kettle.
Even better, there’s no need for any additional equipment. Every mechanical component is integrated within the unit itself — no separate condenser, no extra parts. Just remove the packaging, plug it in, and Chillybox is ready to go.
